Because our local refugee populations are underserved and often marginalized, one of HeartBEATS' goals is to spread the word about the contributions and strengths that refugees bring to our communities. When we get the opportunity to speak about HeartBEATS, we also advocate for the refugee community and the other refugee organizations that help support them.
