1/27/20-Tacoma's Refugee Choir

Updated: Jul 31, 2020

This week I wanted to share a Ted Talk with you about a refugee choir in Tacoma, Washington. The director was initially inspired to make change because of her anger with the political decisions of the current administration and decided to turn that anger into this project. She gathered both immigrants and locally-born friends of hers to form this choir that is about bringing people together, much like HeartBEATS. Along with this moving story is also a beautiful performance by the choir themselves. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
