3/23/20-Music Heals: Pandemic Porch Performances

Updated: Jul 31, 2020

In light of the pandemic, I wanted to share with you an article from western Washington about the healing power of music. Rachelle Moss, an opera singer, sings on her porch for her neighbors everyday as a way to connect with the people around her, even if they are confined to their homes. It is in these times that the true inclusivity and connectivity of music is showing in places all across the world. Here at HeartBEATS, we have launched ApartBEATS, a virtual way to bring together the Phoenix community, sharing the same ideas as Rachelle and her neighbors. If you would like to read more about her, you can visit the link to the article:, and if you would like to watch her porch performances, you can visit her facebook page: We hope you are staying healthy, and we encourage you to use music as a stress reliever or way to connect.
